Eri has a similar background to Tomura Shigaraki, they both accidentally killed their family with his quirk. Eri has a quirk called Rewind, an ability that allows her to turn things around.

On the one hand, this quirk can heal wounds. However, on the other hand, this quirk can also erase a person from existence. Because Eri hasn't mastered her powers yet, Eri ends up accidentally killing her father after using Rewind on her father. Her mother left Eri out of fear of her power.

This finally makes Eri have to fall into the hands of Kai Chisaki. Chisaki tortures Eri to exploit her abilities and creates a drug that can strengthen quirks and remove quirks. Luckily, the Hero Association soon realized Chisaki's cruelty and finally managed to save Eri from Chisaki.

2. Nina Tucker - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

From the start, Nina's life was hard enough because she had to live without her mother's love. Even so, Nina still looks cheerful and happy just living with her father, Shou Tucker, and her pet dog, Alexander.

5. Levi Ackerman - Attack on Titan

Fans of Attack on Titan will know that Levi had a heartbreaking childhood. Levi was born in the Underground City and raised by his mother who worked as a prostitute. When found by his uncle, Kenny Ackerman, Levi was in a really pathetic condition.

His mother had died and her body already began to rot. Meanwhile, Levi is on his way to catch up with his mother. His body was malnourished. Despite being saved by Kenny, Levi's suffering is not over because he is forced to become a thief to survive.

The fate experienced by the five characters above is indeed tragic, isn't it? What's worse is they were victims of the cruelty of the world at a young age.
